You want a new haircut and style? You fire up insta and look for inspiration. When its time to take out the scissors, do you cut your own hair? How about coloring your hair? Would you try to do that yourself? You could but I'm guessing you don't. Time for family photos. Do you take the pictures yourself? I bet you don't! Why not?

We use specialized services that best suit our needs. Accounting, car service, housekeeping, plumbing, hairstyling, photography; none of us can do everything and do it well. We all realize that if you are able to hire a pro, the results will be better! And that is also true when it comes to your health and fitness.

Many people don't realize how much of a difference it can make to hire "help" when it comes to their body goals. Lack of support may be the number one reason why so many new years resolutions end up dying a few weeks into February. You start with the best of intentions but no real roadmap.

Here's the two most common scenarios that play out when you don't have a plan. You go to your new gym, you have no idea what to do so you head straight for the safe looking cardio machine; treadmill, elliptical, rower, anything that looks easy to operate and won't make you look foolish. You don't really feel like you belong there and everyone else looks like they know what they're doing. The cardio machine is REALLY boring and its tough to keep forcing yourself to go back day after day and use it. You end up going less and less often.... Or maybe you do have a plan; a workout routine that you found online. You hit the weights, following the online routine, lifting the heaviest weights you can possibly manage cause you don't want to waste your time. You're really rocking this routine and almost certain that you are doing the exercises correctly but just a couple weeks into your new habit, you are plagued by persistent pain in your shoulder. You can't follow the routine anymore because too many of the exercises make your shoulder hurt...

Stop trying to go it alone when it comes to your health and fitness. Get help! Especially if you want to venture into strength training and lifting weights. Small changes in your alignment and form while lifting will make all the difference in the world. The absolute best results will come from strength training but not if you end up injured! A pro trainer will be able to correct your form, modify exercises to make them work better for your body and provide the right level of progression to your program so that you see amazing results.

You only get one body; invest in your body! There are no magic pills and no one can do the work for you. You cannot outsource your exercise but you can get help and it will make all the difference.
